He was one of 13 children and came to Bakersfield as a young man. Lonnie served during WWII in the U.S. Army. He was a water pump installer in the agriculture industry for approximately 40 years. He was a loving father and a great papa. Lonnie was preceded in death by his wife Ruby in 1966; his parents; daughter Erma Dillard; son Melvin Williams, and 6 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons Ronald Williams and wife Joyce of Sylmar, CA., and Edward D. Williams and wife Rachael of Chelsea, OK; sisters Vivian Haddox, Gladys Spears and Patty Cochran; brothers Kenneth Williams, Norman Williams and Elwon Williams; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Chapel Services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday 4 to 8 pm.
