"Willie" 1942 - 2006 Lester W. Wilson (Willie) Services: Thurs., Jan. 19, 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Lester W. "Willie" Wilson who passed away January 9, 2006 at the age of 63. Pastor Ken Armstrong will officiate. Willie was born March 31, 1942, in Bakersfield, California to Lester G. Wilson and Edith M. Wilson, who were long time residents of Bakersfield. After attending East Bakersfield High School, Willie joined the U. S. Army where he proudly served for 4 years. The highlight of his career as a surveyor was working as the party chief on the construction of the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California. He took great pride and pleasure in being one of the many employees to follow through with its completion. At the time of his death, Willie was employed by "Arrow Engineering", based out of Lancaster, California. He was an active member of the Executive Board for the International Union of Operation Engineers Local 12 and was a 37 year member of the Elks B.P.O.E. #266. Willie is survived by his wife, Anna-Marie Wilson; his children Daren, and his partner Bob, Lance and wife Mellody and their son Will, Shawn and his wife Jaimee and their children Shawn and AJ, Linnea and her husband Matt and their children Morgan and Mackenzie; his sister Edith M. Reid; his nieces Charlotte Rickels and her husband Don, Marilyn Norcross and her husband Everett; his nephews Jeff, Michael, and Ryan; his nephew Richard Rhea and his brother-in-law Theodore Yacopetti.
