Paul Lawrence Hill Worley 
CELEBRATION OF LIFE 
Sun., Feb. 19, 11:00 a.m. 

Paul Lawrence Hill Worley succumbed to cancer on January 17, 2006. He was born 
in Redlands, CA to Marvin and Elizabeth Worley on February 22, 1951. He 
attended local schools and graduated from Redlands High School in 1969. Paul 
joined the Air Force in 1971 and was stationed in Okinawa and North Dakota as 
an aircraft mechanic. After completing his tour of duty, he was promoted in 
rank and gently encouraged by his superior officer NOT to re-enlist. He 
attended Southern Oregon University and became interested in geology. After 
graduating he completed his post graduate studies at Arizona State University 
where he received his MS in Geology. Paul worked for Shell Oil in New Orleans 
until he was offered a position with Occidental Petroleum in Bakersfield. 
Happy to relocate to the west coast, he began his career with OXY in 1980 and 
traveled the world for the next 18 years. He was most recently employed with 
Ivanhoe Energy. During his career he worked in the Philippines, Madagascar, 
Pakistan, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Siberia, China, Belize and Albania. Paul was 
predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Judith; children, 
Joshua Worley of Bakersfield, Jennifer Worley of San Francisco, Morgan Huestis 
of San Diego; brother, Donald Worley of Kettle Falls, WA; sisters, Kathryn 
McCray of Redlands and PattyJo Waitman of Cottage Grove, OR, as well as many 
wonderful friends, and his dog, Jack. The family would like to thank Dr. Ravi 
Patel and the excellent staff at CBCC for their kindness and consideration 
during the past year. There will be celebration of the life and times of Paul 
Lawrence Hill Worley at his home, at 2625 3rd St., on February 19, 2006, 
beginning at 11:00 a.m. Anyone unable to attend is encouraged to hoist one for 
Paul at their favorite local. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 
your favorite charity or institute of learning. Doughty-Calhoun-OMeara Funeral
