Mary Lou Romagno 
April 29, 1938 - May 29, 2005 

Mary Lou passed away Sunday, May 29, 2005. She was born in Thermopolis, 
Wyoming to Vernie and Mary Wales on April 29, 1938. Mary Lou married George 
Romagno on January 10, 1960 in Hamilton Dome, Wyoming. They moved to Coalinga 
in 1964 and then to Bakersfield in 1976. She was preceded in death by her son 
Fred, and parents Vernie and Mary Wales. Mary Lou is survived by her husband, 
George; and her son, Bobby and his wife, Carrie; her daughter, Valerie Garewal 
and her husband, Ernie; and sister, Adrienne McWhorter and her husband Mac; 
grandchildren, Shawn, Ashley, Heather, Tyler, Alexis, Nikki, Cristie, and 
Jake; great-grandson, Bryce; and her nephew, Rick and Niece Rindy. Mary Lou 
lived life with passion, devotion and adventure. She was an accomplished 
pilot, author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. She was a Practitioner 
on Religious Science. She and her husband, George, were HOG members and loved 
to ride their Harley everywhere. Mary Lous Celebration of Life will be held at 
the Church of Religious Science on June 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., 222 Eureka 
Street.
