Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River blvd. Jermone Lee Walker was called home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2005. He was surrounded by family and friends that he fought so hard to be with. Jermone was born June 25, 1976, in Sacramento, California to Charles Walker and Andra Faulkner. His grandmother, Stella Pace (Big Mom) helped shape him into the amazing man that we all knew and loved. He went to Kennedy High School in Sacramento, graduating with the class of 1994. He became a proud father on March 29, 2003. He moved to Bakersfield with the two loves of his life, his son, Frankie and fiancée, Nichole, in August of the same year. They purchased a home and it was the beginning of their new life. Jermone had been employed with Pool Well Services for 2 years and the last 9 months with Key Energy. He enjoyed barbecuing, camping, listening to oldies, dancing in the living room and playing with Frankie. He was a loyal Kings and 49ers fan. He always looked forward to going back home to Sacramento to visit his family and friends. Jermone leaves behind to cherish his life and love, fiancée, Nichole Hernandez; son, Frankie of Bakersfield; mother, Andra; father, Charles and brother, Tyzale, all of Sacramento; grandparents, Stella Pace of Indiana and Lloyd Faulkner of Sacramento. Jermone became a vital member of Nicholes family as well, and will be missed by all. Although, he was only a part of his Bakersfield family for a short five years, he will forever be in our hearts and thoughts, and will continue to thrive in Frankie. He leaves behind many lifelong friends, both in Bakersfield and in Sacramento. Anthony Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez, Mantell Beckham, Tyrone Jenkins, Teran Colen and Timothy Shells will lay Jermone to rest. Honorary Pallbearers are Tyzale Walker, Karl Moore, Marlone Cox, Reggie Bunn, Kevin Moore and Johnny Ware. We would like to thank Key Energy for their caring and support; the phenomenal ICU and 3D staff at Kern Medical Center, especially to his nurse, Kathy Frith, she gave comfort, compassion, shared her hugs and tears freely and genuinely and it was a blessing to have her care for Jermone. We would also like to thank Joe Beltran and Tony Borrayo from Key Energy for their heroic efforts, if not for them, we would never have been able to say our goodbyes to our Jermone. The last two weeks of his life were a battle, but we were grateful to have had them, and will forever be indebted to the actions that they took without hesitation.
