Services: Tues., April 5, 10 a.m.

E.L. Webb was born on June 6, 1932, in Elizabeth, Arkansas. He went to sleep in 
death on March 31, 2005, in Bakersfield, CA, at the age of 72. He worked on a 
farm all his life and enjoyed watching the seeds grow. He worked for Sills 
Properties for over 20 years, and for Ray Etcheverry for over 15 years. He made 
a lot of close friends that he enjoyed working with. In his free time he 
enjoyed gardening and his other hobbies were fishing and hunting. I think just 
walking in the mountains and sitting around a campfire with friends and family 
talking about old times reminded him of where he grew up in Arkansas. E.L. was 
a loving husband to his wife, Dortha Webb for 50 years. He and his wife had 
three sons: Gary, Dennis and Ronnie Webb and one daughter, Brenda Abernathy, 
all of Bakersfield, CA. He also had 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren 
who all called him Poppy. We will miss the love, the friendship, and the 
stories. And we will always cherish the memories we have in our hearts. Also he 
is survived by his brothers, Jake and Winston Webb, all of Shafter; his 
sisters, Neoma Harris of Redding, Vanita of Oklahoma and Almagene Osborn of 
Bakersfield. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jess, Doffis and 
Deloin. 

Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., in the 
Shafter Cemetery.
