Ross Allan Welch 
February 3, 1948 - July 11, 2005 

Mass will be held on Monday, July 18th, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of 
Perpetual Help with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park for Ross Allan 
Welch, 57, who passed away on July 11, 2005. Ross was born February 3, 1948, 
in Marion, Ohio. He graduated from high school in San Mateo, CA. After one 
year at San Diego State, he joined the Navy and was a Corpsman stationed with 
the Marines and served in Vietnam. After serving his country and being 
transferred to Naval Reserve, Ross attended Cal State University at 
Bakersfield. He became a group counselor and promoted to Deputy Probation 
Officer with the Kern Co. Probation Dept. After a very fulfilling career Ross 
retired. Ross was preceded in death by his father, Keith Welch and brother, 
Allan Welch. He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia; children, Amy, Alex, 
Ali and husband, Albie Lopez and grandson, Joel Jared; mother, June Welch; 
sisters and brothers-in-law, Chris and Don Dinesen and Kim and Tim Shockley; 
sisters-in-law and husbands, Maria Luisa and Trinidad Aguirre and Amalia Sonia 
and Jesse Bracamonte; brother-in-law and wife, Jesse and Anabel Ortega; mother-
in-law, Alicia R. Ortega; numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and 
nephews. Ross will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
