Ann suffered a stroke in January 2005 and had been a resident at Emmanuel Parkview Convalescent Hospital. Ann was born on March 31, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. Her husband, Robert Henderson and her parents, Charles and Millie Wiese, preceded her in death. Her children and their families, Brian and Marilyn Henderson, Brad and Angela Henderson, Brenda Higgins and Bonnie and Scott Ashjian and her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Louise Wiese, survive her. She especially loved her grandchildren, Erin Henderson and Brogan, Bronson and Bostyn Ashjian. She also leaves her many wonderful relatives and her friends at Lutheran Church of Prayer, especially Gayle Henke. Ann, Bob and family moved west from Michigan in 1953 and resided in San Fernando, Sylmar and Canoga Park before moving to Bakersfield in 1966. She worked with her husband and son at United News Company for many years. Ann was especially involved at Lutheran Church of Prayer on the Altar Circle, Sunday School Secretary and Offering Counter. Ann was very supportive of the mission of the church, which is to bring the Good News of salvation to everyone. She honored her Savior while she was alive and has the assurance of His Grace now that she is in Heaven. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff and nurses at Emmanuel Parkview, BMFG and Optimal Hospice for their help during this time of Ann's life. A memorial service led by Reverend Gene Bush will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Prayer, 8001 Panorama Drive. A luncheon will follow.
