"Kechi" 1917 - 2005 George K. Wilemon (Kechi) Services: Tues., June 28, 10 a.m. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park, for George Kechi Wilemon, 87, who passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 23rd. George was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma, on September 1, 1917, and resided in Kern County for 46 years. He was a U.S. Veteran, serving his Country during WWII. George was very proud of his Choctaw Indian heritage, faithfully attending the Choctaw Gatherings held each year in Choctaw Valley. George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Pauline Wilemon. He is survived by his loving wife, Mabel Wilemon; sons, Wesley Wilemon and Alan Wilemon; daughters, Leoma Dempsey, Ramona Price, Suzette Garza, and Letha Suiter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
