Williams Services: Fri., Aug. 5, 10 a.m. Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln., Friday, August 5, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. for Richard L. Williams, 83, who passed away *Sunday evening. Richard is survived by his belolved wife of 63 years, Bessie. A native of Greene Co., Arkansas, Richard relocated his young family to the Bakersfield area in 1951. Over the years, he farmed many Kern County fields, maintained lifelong friendships, and raised a large, loving family. In addition to Mrs. Bessie Williams, Richard is survived by his six children. They are: Jerry L. Williams, Gary Monk Williams, Ann Flapper Colvin, Danny Richard Williams, June Bug Blakenship, and Kenneth Williams. His daughters-in- law and sons-in-law include Diane Williams, Isy Williams, Kathy Williams, Les Blakenship and Albert Tuck Colvin. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren: Gail, Stacy, Brain, and his wife, Elaine, Carolyn, Jason, Steven, April and her husband, Steve, Scott, Kyle and Jarred. He leaves behind eight great-grandchildren. They are Ryan, 16; Brianne 11; Brianna 11; Krystal, 7; Marcus, 6; Kira, 6; Kalyn, 5 and Eian, 5 mo. His sister, Mrs. Inas Treadway, remains in Greene Co. He is further survived by his two nieces, Nadine and Michelle; and his nephews, George, Tommy, and Larry. Lastly, but not least, he is survived by many cherished friends.
