James Samuel Williams 
April 13, 1929 - August 31, 2005 

Funeral services for James Samuel Williams will be held at Truth Tabernacle 
(214 Hosking Avenue) on Tuesday morning, September 6, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. 
Interment will be at Delano Cemetery. Pastors Ron and John Mullings will 
officiate. Jim was born April 13, 1929 in Post, Texas and he passed away 
Wednesday, August 31, 2005 in Bakersfield, California after many years of 
health problems. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Twila 
Williams; son, Sam Williams; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Cindy 
Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gary Engman; grandchildren, Chris 
(Derek) Morgan, Rachael (Daniel) Cherry, Kathryn Williams, Amanda Engman, Sara 
Williams, Melissa Engman, Cord Williams, Kristen Engman; great- grandchildren, 
Jacob Morgan, Justin James Morgan and Corban Cherry; sister, Nina Bea Kibbe as 
well as numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Jim grew up in 
Delano, California graduating from Delano High in 1947. He was an excellent 
auto parts salesman for many years in Northern California. His retirement 
years were spent in Bakersfield. He enjoyed his family and especially his 
grandchildren and he always found a way to bring laughter to any situation. He 
loved talking politics and having coffee with the many family and friends who 
blessed his life. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly
