Wold January 8, 1923 - August 18, 2005 Harrison 'Harry' Wold whose life was a model of consideration, good judgment and faith is at peace with Our Lord. Harry is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Jeanne Marie, whom he met and fell in love with in his home town of Elkader, Iowa. Also surviving Harry are his cherished children, Cynthia and John. Harry now has seven grandchildren plus seven great-grandchildren who love and admire him. Harry is also survived by two brothers, Don, who lives on the Wold home farm, and Leigh, who lives in Minnesota. A World War II veteran, Harry served in the United States Air Force flying 36 missions on the European front in his P-38. Following his military service to his country, Harry earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Iowa State University and worked his entire 40-year career in the California oil and gas fields retiring as ARCOs Southern California Natural Gas Superintendent. After his retirement, Harry and Jeanne lived in Tehachapi, California enjoying their sons growing family and their many dear friends in Southern California. They moved to Houston then Austin, Texas where they have been near their supportive daughter and her affectionate family. The spirit of Harry and Jeannes model of total love and devotion has inspired their family and friends.
