Elaine Mary Hornbeck
April 29, 1933 – August 7, 2005

Longtime Tehachapi resident Elaine Mary Hornbeck, 72, passed away in a 
Bakersfield hospital on Aug. 7.

Mrs. Hornbeck was born in Oakland on April 29, 1933 to Earl and Elma Wulff. In 
1951 she was married to Richard Hornbeck in San Leandro. Mrs. Hornbeck enjoyed 
riding motorcycles with her husband. She was an avid reader, gifted seamstress 
and a model train enthusiast. She also found time to help run the bingo games 
for the VFW and Senior Center. Mrs. Hornbeck was a lover of animals, often 
doting over her dogs and cats.

Mrs. Hornbeck is survived by her sons, Stephen Hornbeck and John Hornbeck and 
his wife MaryAnne, all of Tehachapi and Jeffrey Hornbeck, of Santa Rosa; 
daughter, Marjorie Bullard, of Tehachapi; and grandchildren, Dillon Hornbeck, 
Zakary Bullard, Ashley Hornbeck, Jeffrey Hornbeck and Audra Austin Sala. She 
was preceded in death by her husband Richard Hornbeck in 2001.

Wood Family Funeral service handled the cremation arrangements.
