Lawrence Peter Zeilman (Larry) 
November 16, 1917 - July 3, 2005 

Larry Zeilman was born in Freeburg, MO, on November 16, 1917. He grew up in 
Wasco, CA, where he met his longtime love Ruby Garmen. Together Larry and Ruby 
moved to Bakersfield in 1940 to raise their family. Larry was a longtime 
member of the Teamsters Union and UCT, an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending 
time with his family in his beautiful backyard. Larry passed away peacefully 
at home with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Larry 
is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Zeilman, son, Eugene 
Zeilman, mother, father and brother. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-
law, Gary and Margaret Zeilman; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mike 
Kresha; five sisters, Catherine Dounies, Rosalind Crudo, Teresa Dunajski, Mary 
Morley, Monica Brooks; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 
Viewing for Larry Zeilman will be held at Greenlawn Southwest (2739 Panama 
Lane) on Thursday, July 7, 2005, from 2-5 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited 
at St. Francis Catholic Church in Bakersfield on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. 
Mass will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church, Friday morning, July 8, 
2005, at 11:00 a.m. and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery.
