Services were held February 7th with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Louise was raised in Norwalk, Connecticut and graduated in 1957 from Connecticut State Teachers College in New Haven. Louise moved to Long Beach, California to teach elementary school. She married Stefan Zellner in 1958 and moved to Coalinga in 1964 with their two children, Judy and Michael. The Zellners moved to Bakersfield in 1974. Louise was very active in community activities including Boy & Girl Scouts, American Association of University Women and Petroleum Wives. She was a host mother for foreign exchange students and a volunteer for the Kern County Library System, mostly at the Baker Street Library. Louise was also a Sunday School teacher at Temple Beth El, teaching about the Jewish Holocaust. Louise earned her Masters degree in Counseling in 1977 from Cal State Bakersfield, one of the first graduates of that program. She worked for the Kern County Probation Dept. at Kern Youth Facility and was a Mary Kay Consultant. Louise later settled into retirement with her husband of 45 years, Stefan Zellner, who preceded her in death in October 2003. Louise is survived by her son, Michael of Los Angeles; daughter, Judith Peters; son-in-law, John Peters and 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah and Alexander, all of Paradise, CA and a brother, Alan Seide and his wife, Joan of Raleigh, NC.
