The Hanford Sentinel
Harvey Purdy Cody, of Hanford, died Tuesday in a local hospital at the age of 
84.  Mr. Cody had lived in Kings County all his life.  He was a retired farmer, 
having farmed here for 58 years.  Mr. Cody was born in Kings County.

He was a third cousin of the famous Willam F. B. (Buffalo Bill) Cody and was the 
past president of the International Cody Family Association. 

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Anita Turner of Hanford; two brothers, 
Andrew and Thorly Cody both of Grangeville; three grandchildren and a great-
grandchild.

Funeral service will be at the People's Funeral Chapel Friday morning at 10.  
Interment will follow in the Grangeville Cemetery.
