Cody Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 in the People's Funeral Chapel for Thorley G. Cody, 93, of Hanford, who died early this morning in a Hanford Hospital. He was a native of Nebraska and lived here for the past 60 years. Mr. Cody settled in the Armona-Lemoore area in 1876 with his parents. He acquired his own farm later in the Armona area which he farmed for many years. After his retirement from farming, he became quite well known for his large number of bees. Mr. Cody had well over 200 hives. He was also known as an accomplished pianst. He is survived by a son, Dr. George Cody of Auburn; a brother, A.M. Cody of Hanford; one great-grandson, Tod Cody and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Cody was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
