DEATH COMES TO PIONEER MATRON

Mrs. Josephine Giddings, 63, died at her home one and one-half miles southwest 
of Armona yesterday morning at 3 o'clock after a lingering illness.  Mrs. 
Giddings had made her home at the family homestead for more than 41 years and 
reared her family at that place.  She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist 
church and the Women of Woodcraft.

She is survived by her widower, W.R. Giddings; three daughters, Mrs. Irene 
Avritt, Hanford; Mrs. Iris Verser, Coalinga, and Mrs. Annie Burrows, Ventura; 
two sister, Mrs. L.L. Stepp, Lemoore; Mrs. Walter Kelly, Hanford, and two 
brother, C.A. Gray of San Francisco, and J.O. Gray of Lemoore.  Funeral services 
will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock under the direction of the People's 
Undertaking Parlors.
