Reno Evening Gazette June 24, 1881
Died
A letter from Susanville, under date of June 22nd, says:
John C. Partridge died to-day after an illness of about four weeks.  Mr.
Partridge was Postmaster at this place, has been a Deputy U.S. Surveyor, and has
been an elected Warden of Grand Lodge, F. & A. M., of this State, Lassen
Commandery will take charge of the funeral.
Mr. Partridge was a well known and useful citizen throughout this section of the
country.  His death is a heavy loss to Lassen county.
