  MILLS, William Gordon: Minister of the gospel, is the son of John Currie Mills
and Mary Ann Gordon. He was born at Renfrew, in the province of Ontario, Canada.
July 28th, 1856. Was educated in the Canadian public and high schools, Toronto
University, Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, from which he was graduated in
1884 with the B. A. degree, and Oskaloosa College, Oskaloosa. Iowa, the latter
institution honoring him with the Doctor of Divinity degree in 1918. Dr. Mills
has been in pastorates throughout the United States and Canada, coming to
California from New Westminster in June, 1893. Among the churches he has served
are those of Sunderland, Ontario; New Westminster, British Columbia; Ventura and
Los Angeles, California. He was called to the ministry early in life and since
his ordination has devoted all of his time to the service of Jesus Christ. He is
eloquent of speech and profound in thought. He was married to Isabelle Walker
Collins, September 4th, 1895. They reside at 3489 Second Avenue. Los Angeles.
Dr. Mills has his study at 2232 West Jefferson Street, in that city.
