Allen Called by Death Early Yesterday Prominent Local Man Passes Away Following Heart Attack at Home Arthur M. Allen, well known man of this community and step-father of Mrs. Gladys Campbell, local business woman, died suddenly at his home, 4153 Irving place at 6:20 a. m. yesterday. Mr. Allen was coming from the bathroom when he fell in the hall. Judge Randall and wife, who reside next door were called who worked with members of the family to revive him while waiting for a physician but upon the arrival of Dr. Quillen from the Community hospital, he found that the man had expired. Heart trouble is thought to have been the cause of his death as he had suffered several attacks recently. Mr. Allen owned considerable property in Culver City and had resided here for many years. Besides his stepdaughter, he leaves a wife, and several brothers among whom are Chester Allen of the Crest Home apartments, Fourth and Olive streets, and Frank Allen of 317 W. 28th street, Los Angeles. The body was removed to the H. S. Noice undertaking parlors where funeral arrangements are being made.
