O. W. Childs, the Los Angeles millionaire, the Victim of Heart Failure. Los Angeles, April 17th.— O. [Ozro] W. Childs dropped dead at 3 o'clock this morning from heart failure caused by asthma. The deceased waa a pioneer, who came here forty years ago from Vermont, and went into the hardware trade. He was owner of the Grand Opera House and other buildings here. He also owned real estate in San Diego and San Bernardino county. His entire estate is estimated at $1,500,000. He leaves a widow and six children. Childs' eldest daughter was to have been married to Frank Hicks, the son of the late San Francisco millionaire, and a peculiar coincidence is that the wedding was postponed before on account ot the death of Hicks' father."
