Rev. Bishop Alfred A. Curtis, assistant bishop to Cardinal Gibbons at Baltimore, Md. Bishop Curtis, who died last Saturday, was well known, especially to the many priests who studied at St. Mary's, Baltimore, where he was the spiritual director. Bishop Curtis was for nineteen years rector of Mt. Calvary Episcopal church and was later received into the Catholic church by Cardinal Newman. Rev. F. J. Conaty was celebrant of the solemn mass yesterday morning, assisted by Rev. P. J. McNellis of San Diego as deacon, Rev. Paul Dillon as subdeacon and Rev. Dr. R. J. Cotter master of ceremonies. Rev.
