For ten days Mrs. Haight made a brave battle but she did not have the strength to withstand the intense pain and suffering and at 8:30 o'clock Friday evening she entered into the sleep that knows no awakening. Fannie M. Aldrich was born April 14, 1865, at Bloomington, Wisconsin. In 1874 she came to Maquoketa with her parents. She was married to George S. Haight, October 24, 1882. To this happy union two children were born, one son Frank S. Haight of Maquoketa and one daughter, Mrs. W. O. Wells of Minneapolis. She is survived by her husband, two children and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Thomas, Blodgett, Oregon, Mrs. Mary Robinsin, Los Angeles, Cal., and two brothers, William Aldrich of Minneapolis and Hiram Aldrich of Oakland, Cal. For more than twenty-five years she assisted her husband in the restaurant business in Maquoketa, now conducted by her son. Funeral services were conducted from the home, Rev. C. Wesley Fletcher officiating assisted by Rev. Bartholomew. The Pythian Sisters and the Rebeckah order attended as a body.
