Holst at 3 o'clock yesterday morning occasioned a great deal of surprise among her numerous friends. Saturday evening when she was returning from a drive she was suddenly attacked by a stroke of apoplexy. Two physicians were immediately called, but their best endeavors to give relief proved of no avail, and she past away peacefully and quietly at 3 o'clock in the morning. Mrs. Holst was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, July 13, 1836, and was at the time of her death 55 years of age. She was the mother of eight children, who now survive her, they being respectively Mrs. L. C. Harper, Charles Holst, Mrs. W. O. White, Ed Holst, Arnold Holst, Dagmar Holst, Mariam Holst and Walter Holst. Mrs. Holst held a high place in the esteem of all who knew her, and as a mother she was kind, devoted and loving. The funeral services, under the conduct of Rev. B. F. Coulter, will be held at 10 o'clock, Tuesday, at her late residence on Ninth street. Her remains will be interred at Rosedale Cemetery File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ca/losangeles/obits/gob2802holst.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/caobfiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
