B. Church Laid to Rest Monday Long and Useful Life Closes With Death of Rev. A. N. King Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Palms United Brethren church for Rev. A. N. King, pioneer resident of Palms and one of the founders of the Palms U. B. church, who passed away at his home on Euclid avenue last Friday evening. Rev. H. H. Heberly, pastor of the local church, assisted by Rev. Reynier of the United Church of Glendale, officiated. Interment was in Woodlawn cemetery, Santa Monica. Rev. King was one of the best liked and well known men in the bay district, having spent more than 43 years in this vicinity. With Messrs. N. F. Coe, father of C. E. Coe, of Mentone avenue and Jacob Brown, Rev. King established the present U. B. church of Palms. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elsie M. King, two daughters, Mrs. Edith Hall and Mrs. Mamie Wade, five sons, Walter, Howard, Oscar, Fred and Frank King and thirty-five grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
