Interment was in the Ingelwood mausoleum at Los Angeles. Mr. McMillin passed away September 18 at 1:30 at the Suburban Hospital, South Gate, California, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 12 days. Mrs. McMillin was born Lydia Smith, the daughter of David and Agnes Smith in 1854 at Smithtown, which was named for her father. On Feb. 11, 1886, she married John H. McMillan, who preceded her in death 38 years ago. Two children, J. W. McMillin of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. U. S. Hill of Odebolt, also preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. McMillin farmed near Lost Nation and later moved into town. Mrs. McMillin moved to Los Angeles after her husband's death. She was active in the Methodist church and missionary work in Lost Nation. She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. W. R. Smith of Lost Nation and Mrs. E. J. Kelly of Milwaukee.
