History of the Nichelson Murder

Monday Dec 9 (1912). Levi Ehresman shot and killed (Jack) Nichelson and then 
cremated body in Baynham barn.
Thursday, Dec 12-Parts of burned bones found in ruins of bar fire.
Saturday, Dec 14-Suspicion that bones were those of Nichelson, who had 
suddently disappeared.
Sunday Dec 15-Slanker found that Nichelson's auto was secreted at San Dimas.
Monday Dec 16-Suspicion that Levi Ehresman of San Dimas, had a hand in the 
murde rof Nichelson.
Tuesday, Dec 17-Ehresman disappears from San Diams, also the new Kissell Car 
that Nichelson owned.
Thursday, Dec 19-Fact established that Ehresman had used Nichelson's car a 
night on several occasions.
Friday Dec 20-Seach made for Ehresman.
Saturday, Dec 21-Ehresman arrested at Santa Bara, with Miss Nan Shawver of San 
Dimas.
Sunday, Dec 22-Ehresman landed in Pomona Jail.
Monday Dec 23-Ehresman made written confession of his crime and told details.
Thursday, Dec 26-Ehresman said he was guilty in Justice Barnes court and was 
held for the Superior Court.
Friday Dec 27-Ehresman pleaded guilty in Judge Willis' court in Los Angeles.
Saturday, Dec 28-Ehresman sentenced to life imprisonment in Folsom Prison
Sunday, Dec 29-Ehresman started for prision.
Monday Dec 30, Ehresman is in stripes and has entered upon life imprisonment 
at Folsom.


Additional Comments:
Ehresman was released from Folsom in 1930 with a terminal disease.  His 
whereabouts after that is unknown.
