Death of a Marquis - Francois Eugene Prevot, Marquis de St. Cyr, died Christmas 
evening at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. Botello, on Bartlett street, 
aged 85 years.  The marquis was born in Huningue, Alsace, France, June 7, 1805, 
and was in his early youth a page to Louis XIV.  He came to America many years 
ago, finally locating in Los Angeles about 5 years ago.  About a year ago the 
marquis met with an accident, and has since that time been bed-ridden.  His 
death resulted from natural causes.  Coroner Weldon investigated the case, and 
issued a certificate.
