She was the second daughter of three girls born to Mitchell Alexander, Jr. of Midland, TX, and Dorothy L. Turpin of TX. The family moved from Arizona to Los Angeles, CA in 1950. "Jean" attended Carver High School then Compton College in Los Angeles, CA. After school, Jean married Robert Bradley and from that union her only daughter, Stacey Bradley was born. After several years Jean and Robert were divorced and she met and married Keith Stevens in Los Angeles, CA and helped raise four step children before their marriage ended in 1989. Jean accepted the lord in January 1976 and was an active member of the Great White Throne of Judgment Ministry of Los Angeles, CA from 1981 thru 1987, but stayed in touch and visited until 2005. In 2002, she became a member of the Morning Star Church of the Saints of Perris, CA under the leadership of Pastor C. R. Gaines, and was an active member of the choir. Jean worked in various positions aboard Amtrak Railroad Company based in Los Angeles, CA for fourteen years. She was an active member of RED BLOCK, a program that helped alcohol and drug addicted Amtrak employees, and she volunteered for their safety committee. Jean was an entrepreneur and started her own business named Living Large Fashions with a friend Jeanne Simmons. She was the coordinator and founder of the cancer support group called Supporters Are Us and began a Boot Ministry to encourage other cancer patients. Jean was a cancer patient at the Oklahoma Cancer Treatment Center in 2003 and moved to Terlton, OK in 2004. She attended church in Oklahoma City and met and married her current husband, Corporal Tate on May 8, 2004, in Beggs, OK. God called her home on June 10, 2005 at 5:50am, in Terlton, OK. Jean will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Her father Mitchell Alexander was called home on July 1, 2005, and her brother Leroy "Butch" Daniel preceded her on June 8, 2004. Left to cherish her memories is her mother, Dorothy Alexander, her daughter Stacey Bradley of Terlton, OK, her sisters, Rita, Brenda, & Tristan Alexander, Michelle Crowell, Alexis Gramling, Sandra Wilson, & Shirley Robinson, one brother Mitchell Alexander III, Aunt Jean Minger, Grandchildren Mark Anthony Mitchell & Jonathan Bradley, all of California and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Additional Comments: Jean was cremated at the Cremation Society of Oklahoma, 2103 E. Third St., Tulsa, Ok 74104. Her Memorial Service was conducted by Pastor C.R. Gaines and held on August 31, 2005 at Greater Morning Star Church of the Saints in Perris, CA 92570.
