  Thomas Bassett. Born in Wales, November 28, 1847. Arrived in America June 12,
1869. Came to Marin county and purchased his present farm in 1874, where he is
engaged in dairying and farming. Married November 6, 1877, Mary, daughter of
Robert Bailey, of Sonoma county. Hattie, born September 7, 1878, is their only
child.
