Publishers (1880) Welman Losee. Born in Prince Edward's county, Canada, May 8, 1840, and there received his education, and resided on a farm until 1863. In that year he came to California via Panama, arriving in San Francisco January 10, 1864, and came direct to Marin county. After working six years for Sweetser & De Long he commenced dairying on his own account, and at present is in the same business. Owns no land in Marin county. Married October 15, 1870, Lydia T. Johnson, a native of Cumberland county, Maine.
