The well known Lemoore pioneer, who was the widow of Julius Boysen, former Yosemite park photographer, was stricken while talking to a friend. She had lived in the park for 35 years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arthur St. Clair, and two granddaughters of Sacramento, and a sister, Mrs. Nat[haniel] Guiberson, Dallas, Tex. Eastern Star services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mariposa, followed by cremation." END Additional Comments: Hanford Daily Sentinel (Hanford, California). May 12, 1943 (Wednesday). Mabel Sweetland was the daughter of Byron K. and Laura (Moore) Sweetland of Lemoore. She married Julius T. Boysen at their home in Lemoore in 1900. The Boysen's operated the "Boysen Studio" in Yosemite Valley from 1898 until Mrs. Boysen died in Yosemite Valley in 1943. Julius and Mabel Boysen are buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Mariposa.
