Mr. Boysen had been at the Eastmont Sanitorium for 2 months and 16 days.  His 
daughter, Ellen (Boysen) St. Clair lived in Sacramento at the time which may be 
the reason he was there and not in the San Francisco Bay Area which is where 
his remaining family was.  Contributing causes of death were chronic nephritis 
and arterio sclerosis.   

The remains were removed to Merced, California on May 29, 1939. (see note below)

Additional Comments:
From his obituary in the Mariposa Gazette, he was cremated in Merced, then 
taken to Meriposa where there was a funeral on June 1.  His ashes were buried 
in the Masonic Cemetery in Mariposa, California.  Mr. and Mrs. Boysen had a 
photographic studio in Yosemite Valley from about 1900 until she died in 1943.
