Duncan of Ukiah. The Covelo native and lifelong Mendocino County resident died Monday, August 14, 2000, at a Ukiah convalescent hospital. He was 80. Interment will be in the Ukiah cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 6 pm today at the mortuary. Friends may pay their respects beginning at 4 pm. Born May 20, 1920, Mr Duncan was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War 11. He leaves his wife, Harriet, of Ukiah; a son, William Duncan of Sacramento; a brother, Ambrose Duncan of Ukiah; a brother-in-law, Charles Mitchell, and a sister-in-law, Peggi Mitchell. Also Surviving are nephews Arlond Allen, Noland Mitchell and Francisco Flores; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
