Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 27, at the Anker Lucier Mortuary 
chapel for Minton Daniel Fales, 84, who passed away at a local hospital on 
November 25 following a long illness. A native of Ukiah, Mr Fales had lived in 
Willits for 40 years, coming here to help build the Sage Land Mill. For many 
years he was a saw filer for Warm Springs Redwood Company and after his 
retirement 20 years ago he opened his own saw shop at his home on Poplar 
Street. He was a past master of the Willits IOOF Lodge, a member of the Ukiah 
Eagles Lodge and Little Lake Grange. Mr Fales is survived by his wife, Beulah 
Fales of Willits; his children, Shirley Wagner and Willis Fales of Willits, 
Earl Fales of Portland, Ray Fales of Walnut Creek, Carol Crouch of Santa Rosa 
and Arlene Hamilton of Yreka; his sisters Ruby Fritz and Dollie Price, both of 
Redding; 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews. 
Inurnment was in Little Lake Cemetery and the family requests memorial 
contributions to the Heart Fund.

Minton Daniel Fales, 84, of Willits, died in a local hospital Friday, Nov. 25
A native of Ukiah, he had lived in Willits for 40 years. He was a past master 
of the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 27 and a member of Eagle Lodge, Little Lake Grange 
No. 670.He is survived by his wife, Beulah of Willits,; his children, Earl 
Fales of Portland, Ore., Ray Fales of Walnut Creek, Shirley Wagner and Willis 
Fales of Willits, Carol Crouch of Santa Rosa and Arlene Hamilton of Yreka. Also 
surviving are two sisters, Ruby Fritz and Dollie Price, both of Redding; 19 
grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. Services were 
held Sunday, Nov 27, 2 p.m. at Anker-Lucier Mortuary Chapel with Inurnment in 
Little Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Heart Fund would be 
preferred by the family.
