Ukiah Daily Journal, December 14, 1960
"A. B. Howard Dies of Heart Attack.
Arthur Benton Howard, 77 a lifelong resident of Ukiah Valley, died at 6:50 last 
night in a local hospital following a heart attack.  An autopsy has been 
ordered by Sheriff-Coroner Reno Bartolomie.  Mr. Howard, a farmer prior to his 
retirement, was born and raised on the Hooper ranch in Coyote Valley.  His 
grandfather was the Rev. Mark Howard, founder of the Ukiah Baptist Church which 
celebrated its centennial last year. 
Other survivors include two daughters, a sister, and an aunt, Mabel Hopkins, 
who resides at Big Oaks. Funeral services are pending at Zimmerman Mortuary."

Ukiah Daily Journal [Mendocino County, California]. December 14, 1960.  He was 
the son of Peter May Howard and Nancy Isabel (Hopkins) Howard.  He was the 
husband of Marguerite Byrd Larson.
