Merced Pub.
Story of his death. He was shot by Jesus Peralta before CHristmas. Where is he 
buried? We think Hopton cem. near Snelling, Merced co. Ca. We can't find his 
mothers burial place either. She was the wife of James Isham Cox, named: 
Rebecca ( Chisenhall Cox) originaly from Tenn. & Kentucky. They were pioneers, 
& in the 1st wagen train that came over the Pacheco Pass. Their dau. Lousisa 
married J.J stevinson. Please help me find their graves. James Isham is buried 
in the private Stevinson family cem. on the Stevinson ranch near Stevinson, Ca. 
That is close to Merced.These are my family ancestors. Please help find a cem 
listing for the Hopton cem. I have been there, but the stones have been 
destroyed, or unreadable.  Thank You, Sandra Cox Miller

Rebecca died later than her son, her husband died later than she did, abt 1890.
