Ernest "Ernie" Louis 

Sept. 4, 1937 - December 14, 2004



Ernest "Ernie" Louis, 67, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at his 
residence. He was a native of Los Banos, born September 4, 1937, and he lived 
in Modesto for 50 years. He was a self-employed Commodities Broker for 25 
years, a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and member of Modesto 
Portuguese Pentecost Association.
Survived by wife, Janice Louis of Modesto; children, Dionne Kohler of Daly 
City, Ernie Louis of Hughson and Anthony "Tony" Louis of Modesto; brothers, 
Tony Louis of Cupertino, John Louis and Frank Louis, both of Modesto; sisters, 
Mary Lockhart and Virginia Avila, both of Modesto and Alice Dailey of Visalia 
and 3 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brother, Carl Louis and sister, 
Emily Pedersen.
A Rosary will be held Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at McHenry Chapel-
Franklin & Downs, Modesto. Mass on Monday, December 20 at 11:30 a.m. at St. 
Stanislaus Catholic Church, Modesto. Visitation: Sunday, 6:00-9:00 pm. at the 
Chapel. Burial, Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Donations may go to Community Hospice, 601 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA 95350 or 
American Cancer Society, 1604 Ford Avenue, #8, Modesto, CA 95350.
