"A pretty home wedding occurred at 6 o'clock last evening at the residence of County surveyor and Mrs. A[rthur] E. Cowell on 19th street [639 19th], when Miss Ada Harrison, of Hernandez, San Benito county, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Cowell, in this city for some time, was united in marriage to Leroy Harlan, cashier of the Laton bank, in Fresno county. The ceremony was performed in the parlor which had been pretilly decorated for the occasion, Rev. Z. J. Needham officiating. Mrs. A.H. Scofield presided at the piano. Only the immediate relatives of the young couple were present. After the ceremony a wedding supper was served. A large number of presents were received, most of which were sent to Laton where the young couple will make their home. They left on the S.P. southbound train for a honeymoon trip."
