Terry Johnson, if you are out there, please contact me!!] Additional Comments: My grandmother’s cousin, William Dugay Cruikshank, was a gold miner in the Los Burros Mining District of Monterey County, California. He kept a diary for many, many years before he died in 1937, and one of the things he recorded was when he heard of the death of one of his neighbors or friends. The following dates are in most cases not the date of death but the date that Will heard of the death, unless otherwise noted. The information was extracted by my mother while transcribing the diaries, and they are not in perfect chronological order. I hope that someone some day will find something useful for their research: File at: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ca/monterey/history/other/unoffici310gms.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/cafiles/ File size: 4.7 Kb
