Oliver Lewis Emlay, an invalid for a number of years, has passed on. His going occurred on Wednesday, at the county hospital, at Salinas. The late Mr. Emlay was born at Alvarado, Alameda county, on October 25th, 1865. He lived in Gilroy a number of years and served a railroad company in Mexico as train dispatcher for a long term of years. Previous to this he was in New York City, where he held the position of train dispatcher for one of the Eastern railroad corporation[s]. The residence of Mr. Emlay in Pacific Grove dates from the beginning of the trouble in Mexico. He leaves a wife and son and a little girl, living in Pacific Grove.
