Death was due ailments, incident to her to her advanced age. She was confined to her home for the past two years. Mrs. Leoni was born at Monterey and was aged 82 years. She had lived in Watsonville for the past 10 years. She was a loving mother and had a large circle of friends throughout the Monterey bay section. She was a devout member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church. Six daughter and two sons survive to mourn her passing. They are Mrs. Jennie Vyeda, Mrs Ida East and Mrs. Rose Silva all of Watsonville; Mrs. Nellie Taglio of Gustine, Mrs. Eugene Morelli of Santa Cruz, Miss Emma Leoni of San Francisco; John Leoni of Aptos and Al Leoni of Watsonville. There also survive one sister Mrs. Mary Butler of Watsonville and one brother Albert Artellan of San Francisco, and 26 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o’clock at Whites funeral home ; thence to St. Patrick’s church where last rites will be held at 9:30. Burial will be in the family plot in the Watsonville Catholic cemetery. The rosary will be recited at the funeral chapel Thursday evening at 8 o’clock.
