For many years Mrs. Henry was a member of the local school board and was active in the affairs of the La Posa Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She was past worthy matron of the chapter and also past district deputy grand matron of the Star. In addition to her husband, who has been local manager of the Southern Pacific Milling company here for the last 50 years, Mrs. Henry is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy Gleason [Phyllis Vivian Henry], of King City, and Mrs. J. Grim funeral chapel, followed by interment in the King City district cemetery. If she had lived until November, Mr. and Mrs. Henry would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. For the last several years Mrs. Henry has been an honorary member of the King City Woman’s club. She was one of the few persons left who had lived in King City for 50 years.” END Additional Comments: “The Rustler-Herald” (King City, California). September 15, 1941 (Monday). Page 1, Column 5.
