“Norman Sharkey.
Carmel Valley
Norman Stone Sharkey, born June 12, 1915, passed away Wed., Nov. 29, 2006 at 
Community Hospital in Monterey.  Mr. Sharkey was a graduate of Lynbrook High 
School, Lynbrook, NY and Duke University.  He was a member of the Community 
Church of the Monterey Peninsula.  Norman was preceded in death by his wife, 
Dorothy Deele Sharkey, whom he married on April 17, 1948 [in Reno, NV.]   A 
memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec 4, at 11:00 a.m. at The Hacienda 
Carmel West Room in Carmel.  Private inurnment will take place in El Carmelo 
Cemetery, Pacific Grove.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 
made to Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1798, Monterey, CA 93942.  Arrangements by 
The Paul Mortuary in Pacific Grove.” END
