This Indenture made this first day of November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and Ninety Seven Between: Johnson H. McFarling and Alice McFarling his wife and John W. McFarling and Josephine McFarling his wife all of the County of Napa and State of California the parties of the first part, and Mrs. Carrie L. Alexander of the same County and State aforesaid the party of the Second part: Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & no/100 Dollars Gold Coin of the United States of America to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns forever all that Certain lot piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the said County of Napa State of California and bounded and particularly described as follows to wit: Beginning at a point in the center of Napa river at the corner of the lands of F. Behuke? Margaret H. Fuller Hackney and the McFarling tract: thence running North 34 East 2425 feet along the boundary line between the lands of Hackney and McFarling, to a State on the Hill; thence running along the boundary line between lands of H.E. Weinberger and McFarling North 75 degrees West 944 feet to a Stake marked Mc E"?; thence running along the boundary line between the lands of McEachran and H.E. Weinberger and McFarling South 34 degrees West 2055 feet to the center of Napa River, thence running down the center of said River South 43 degrees East 462 feet South 60 degrees East 472 feet to the point of beginnings. The above described tract contains 46.3 acres of land more or less Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof. To have and to hold, all and singular the said premises, together with the appurtances unto the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns forever.
