McFarling, 30 acres on Napa River adjacent to Krug and 15 acres adjacent to Bale Grant, 29 October 1890, Napa County, California Deed Book 47:253. This Indenture made the Twenty ninth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety Between John W. McFarling of Hot Springs Township County of Napa and State of California, the party of the first part and Eva R. McFarling widow of James McFarling deceased of Township, County and State aforementioned the party of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars Gold Coin of the United States of America to him in hand paid by the party of the second part, in receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath remised, released and forever quit-claimed, and by these presents doth remise, release and forever quit-claim unto the party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns all those certain lots, pieces or parcels of land lying and being in the County of Napa, State of California and bounded and particularly described as follows, to wit: Commencing in the middle of Napa River where the Easterly line of E.M. York's land crosses said river running thence in a Northerly direction along said line to the lands of Charles Krug, thence in a Westerly direction along the line of said Krug's lands to within one rod of the corner of John Gillam's land; thence in a Southerly , and parallel into said Gillam's line to the middle of Napa river; thence down the middle of said river to the place of beginning, Containing 30 acres more or less. Being the same land conveyed to James McFarling by E.M. York and wife, by deed dated December 19th 1882. Also that other tract of land, lying adjoining the above tract and described as follows to wit: Commencing at a Stake at the most Northerly corner of the above described tract thence North Thirty-four and one-half degrees East Six chains and thirty eight links to a stake on the hill, from which a black oak bears South Easterly eleven links distant, thence South Easterly to a stake on a point in the Bale Grant line as surveyed by C.C. Tracy where the South Easterly line of the above tract would if extended Easterly, strike said point in said Bale Grant line, from which stake a manzanita tree 18 inches in diameter bears W. 14 degrees W?. 17 links distant, thence South thirty-four and one-half degrees West 15 degrees and 94 links to a stake on the North East corner of the tract above described, thence along the North Easterly line of said tract to the place of beginning Containing 15 acres more or less. Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances etc.---- This deed is made for the purpose of conveying all the right, title, interest, claims or demands of the party of the first part in or to the above-described lands and every part thereof under that certain Indenture dated the Ninth day of February 1883 and recorded in Book 33 of Deeds page 277?
