Boger, a former resident of Dillon, died Sunday, August 25, at his St. Helena, California, home. Mr. Boger was born in Dillon on Jan 22, 1915, the son of Catherine Toomey Boger and Frederick E. Boger. He attended Dillon public schools and graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1932. He was a student at Western Montana College and transfered to the University of Montana at Missoula, where he was a member of the SAE fraternity, graduating in pharmacy. He married Louise Davidson of Deer Lodge in 1938. Mr. Boger was a pharmacist at Grosman Drug in Dillon for 22 years. The family moved to Billings where he continued as a pharmacist for 15 years. He later retired and moved to St. Helena, California, where he managed the Vineyard Valley Mobile Home Park. He received public acclaim for his services and actions in aiding families during and after the disastrous flood that engulfed the Vineyard Valley near St. Helena in 1986. Mr. Boger was a veteran of WWII, serving in Persia (now Iran). Persian Gulf Command, and later in the Phillippines. He was discharged as a First Lt.-MAC. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in St. Helena, a Past Master of Dillon Lodge No. 16 A.F.&A.M. and a member of the Scottish Rites and AlBedoo Shrine Temple at Billings. He is survived by his wife, Louise, of St. Helena; one daughter, Kathryn Mallory of Stocton, California and one grandaughter. His mother, father, brother Edward and sisters Marie Holter and Anastacia Babb preceded him in death.
