Napa Daily Journal, October 26, 1917 
"Mrs. Henry Fowler Dead

News has been received in Napa of the sudden death in Berkeley on Thursday 
morning [October 25], of Mrs. Henry Fowler, who with her husband, Henry Fowler, 
was one of the pioneer residents of Napa and well known to the old-timers 
here.  Mrs. Fowler is survived by four daughters, and died after only a short 
illness.

Mrs. Fowler was 76 years of age.  The children surviving her are Mrs. John H. 
Mallett, Mrs. Sherwood Bird, Mrs. E.E. Kindelspire and Mrs. Frank A. Wickham."

Napa Daily Journal (Napa County, California).  October 26, 1917 (Friday).  
Catherine Magness was the daughter of Thomas Harrin and Cassandra (Mussett) 
Magness.  She was born in Austin, Texas on June 2, 1841.  She married Henry 
Fowler in Calistoga in 1857.
