Napa Daily Journal, April 3, 1895 
"Miss Magness Dead.

Miss Mary Magness, sister of Mrs. Henry Fowler, died at the residence of the 
latter on Clay street [in Napa] early Tuesday [April 2, 1895] morning after an 
illness of about a week.  Miss Magness was a native of Arkansas and has been a 
resident of Napa for many years.  Her only surviving relatives are Mrs. Fowler 
and Mrs. Jos. Parish of San Jose.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Fowler residence."

Additional Comments:
Napa Daily Journal (Napa County, California).  April 3, 1895 (Wednesday).  Mary 
Magness was the daughter of Thomas Harrin and Cassandra (Mussett) Magness.  She 
was born December 18, 1839 and to my knowledge, never married.
